Stratified sampling was used to select the teachers from five secondary schools and two junior colleges in Singapore. A questionnaire, consisting of 26 close-ended items and 14 open-ended items, measuring the extent of collegiality, the factors affecting it and the forms of teacher development, was used to collect data to answer four research questions.
