南来作家对峇峇娘惹的形象塑造及意义—— 以〈峇峇与娘惹〉与〈娘惹与峇峇〉为例 = The image of Baba Nyonya by the Chinese southbound writers: a study on the popular imagery and cultural construction of the Peranakans
峇峇娘惹是新马社会当中独特的一群。早期南来马来亚的华人移民为了经商的方便而在当地与马来土著妇女同婚，峇峇娘惹便是两族群结合后的结果。峇峇娘惹在各方面已融合了中华与马来文化—峇峇语言，娘惹服装以及娘惹美食都是族群的文化特征。在英殖民统治时期，便效忠与西方文化，受英文教育。然而，峇峇娘惹多元文化的身份在中国南来作家的眼中，却被视为忘宗的表现，致使族群走向没落的原因。 本文将对丘士珍的《峇峇与娘惹》和方北方的《娘惹与峇峇》进行细读，分析南来作家对峇峇娘惹族群的形象塑造，并且揭示南来作家如何在人物的刻画中展现出中国意识。 关键词：峇峇娘惹、土生华人、中国南来作家、中国中心 The Peran...
