Description
Summary:This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows: The objective of this review is to evaluate the effectiveness of virtual patient simulation as an educational intervention versus traditional learning, other types of e‐Learning interventions and other forms of virtual patient simulation interventions for delivering pre‐registration and post‐registration healthcare professional education. We will primarily assess the impact of these interventions on learners’ knowledge, skills and attitudes. Our secondary objective is to assess the cost‐effectiveness of these interventions.
