Description
Summary:The fuzzy logic controller is implemented on a Lego NXT mobile robot, named WALLy, as a test bed for composing a team for robot soccer competition. Although fuzzy logic has been extensively implemented in mobile robot control, this work is different since the implementation platform itself has its own limitations, which need to be addressed to make this implementation possible. In addition, the task of joining in a robot soccer competition created additional issues that need to be reconciled with the Lego’s limitations. The robot is tasked to search and identify the presence of the soccer ball, and push it towards the goal. The implementation setup will be described, and issues and results will be presented.
