A new route to a 2-phosphanaphthalene
The reaction between methylenechlorophosphine-pentacarbonyltungsten and an isobenzofuran affords a [4 + 2] adduct whose oxygen bridge is broken by BBr3, leading to a 2-phosphanaphthalene.
